Steve Ward

Duke Ellington wrote, "it don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing." Steve Ward took that to heart when he inherited his dad's music collection, consisting of several hundred original 78rpm records, about a thousand LPs and miscellaneous compact discs. From the seeds of that endowment, Steve conjured the weekly Big Bandstand program heard Saturdays at 9am on KSER showcasing music from the 1930s and '40s and surrounding decades. Swing is not Steve's only music interest - he worked in rock radio in the 1980s before submerging himself in the mysterious and little understood in-store music industry. Steve lives in Edmonds with his wife Helene and three small Tibetan Terriers.
