Bud Piland

Bud Piland most of all enjoys spending time with family and friends, hiking, fishing, hunting, camping and just hanging out playing board games and laughing a lot! Bud is an avid motorcyclist and cannot get enough riding time, it is his passion. He is also an archer who enjoys making his own archery equipment for his own use and friends. He has spent 47 years working in manufacturing at every conceivable level.  From building snow skis to working in a foundry, building ship propellers to then working in the foundry supply industry.  Finally the last 39 years playing with fire, literally!  Bud has been building the best wood gas and pellet stoves and fireplaces on the planet. A long career in the Hearth industry has given him the opportunity to contribute to the art of fire a real dream job! He owns three guitars and “tries” to play. He sings along to way too may songs when he shouldn’t and is asked not to.

This consummate Elvis fan just happens to love Motown music! At KSER he celebrates the Motown era of music on his show the Soul and Funk Express. Bud says that music is a joy, is an experience, something to savor, enjoy and let the happiness and emotion overwhelm you. He promises you will come back for more.
